Some advice for copy tradooooors:
1. It's okay to use other people for bias/new ideas. It's not okay to depend on someone to tell you entry, TP, SL and then position sizing.
2. If you copy trade someone, be disciplined about it. If you copy Trader A for a Bitcoin long entry, then get out when he does (loss or profit does not matter). Usually people then look for Trader B who is still long biased and bull posting.
If you are blindly copying multiple people at the same time, you are not copying anyone and just looking for someone to hold your hand and have the same bias as you. Most people are looking for someone to blame when things go wrong, that won't bring you PnL.
3. If you use someone for counter-trading, then take every trade they take. Even if you think, oh this one, he's probably right. If someone is a net losing trader and you know it, then make sure you counter every trade.
Same goes for creating a system for copy trading as well.
4. I have shared proof multiple times that as dumb as I am, I somehow have managed to stay profitable in every market condition. I am happy when people use some ideas I might have to make money. But you cannot use me for risk management. If my risk on a position I share is 0.5% of my portfolio (not nw) and you risk 20% of your net worth on it - we will not be able to handle losses in the same manner.
I understand the need to make money quickly especially with smaller accounts. But leverage trading is unfortunately not the right place to do it and the odds are not just stacked against you, the game is rigged.
5. I remember times when exchange CEOs publicly shared intentions to run our stops for a new Ferrari. If you are leveraged to the tits, someone with more capital and more will find a way to liquidate you. It's a PvP market and it's not about skill - if you make most of your money through bad habits like blindly copying trades from twitter across many accounts with no system + high leverage then you will stick to them. Crypto is filled with corpses of leveraged accounts that went from 4 figs to 7 and back to zero.
