KraneShares applied to launch an index ETF tracking the top 50 digital assets.

[Block Rhythm] On June 28, it was reported that ETF-focused asset management company KraneShares announced on Friday that it has submitted an application to the SEC to launch a "Certain Platform 50 Index ETF" that tracks the top 50 digital assets by market capitalization. This index product will be launched by a certain trading platform at the end of 2024 and will adjust the weight of its constituents quarterly. Currently, its top three holdings are Bitcoin (50%), Ethereum (approximately 21%), and XRP (9%).

According to reports, KraneShares was founded by Jonathan Krane in 2023 and is an investment company based in New York, focusing primarily on China, climate, and alternative investments. The company is majority-owned by the well-known Chinese financial services firm China International Capital Corporation (CICC).
