[BlackRock and the SEC hold talks to discuss issues related to crypto ETF staking and options trading] Representatives from BlackRock met with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cryptocurrency special working group to discuss "considerations related to facilitating ETPs with staking capabilities" and explored "parameters for positions and exercise restrictions of crypto ETF options, including liquidity thresholds." The memorandum noted that the theme of this meeting was "approaches to addressing issues related to the regulation of digital assets." Robert Mitchnick, head of digital assets at BlackRock, also attended the meeting. The document also mentioned that BlackRock discussed general standards for the approval of crypto ETFs.
